Like I said you could have had a beer. Rice water doesn’t qualify.

But, damn, that lobster looks good. If you ever come south far enough you’ll enjoy southern lobster (crayfish). It’s a bit meaner than Maine lobster though. It’s got barbs all over it like a rose bush on steroids.

I think antipodean meant BEER, not water ;).

And I think lobster is running 25$/pound out here in TX. I remember growing up in Connecticut it was something like 10$ for 1 1/4 pound lobster. Cheaper than steak!

Glad to hear you had an enjoyable vacation, even if it did involve lobster (ick) and Budweiser (double ick). Your post has left me anxiously awaiting my own vacation in November.
