vacation pictures

Well, back to real life.  When I woke up this morning, I was in pain.  And not just because I have a sunburn.  Anyway, below are pictures of the beautiful country I left behind for another year–not to be seen again until after internship.  Also, there’s a gator in one of the pictures, which I only just noticed now.  See if you can find it…

I just noticed that I didn’t get any pictures of the beach.  Maybe because I was too busy getting this nice sunburn.

That is quite an impressive gator. I haven’t seen one in the “wild” since my grandmother passed away 15 years ago — one used to live in the pond in the golf course of her condo in Florida.

Actually, there is another one. In the middle of the lake running “periscope up”.

Glad to hear you didn’t wind up on the menu at “Gator Grill” (Ha!)

Julie – I saw one in a more secluded part of the island that had to be at least 12 ft long. Crazy.

Alan – I read your comment and I was like, WHAT?!?!? Another one?!?! But I think the other gator you are refering to is actually some kind of drift wood or tree (sans and leaves) sticking out of the lake. There are a lot of those there–the birds like to hang out on them…
