updating the blogroll
It occurred to me that I’ve never explained my blogroll, comprised all of nice people with interesting things to say and all awesome blogs. More so, I think it’s time to update the blogroll. Without further ado, here is my blogroll:
Dr. Isis - A domestic and laboratory goddess who wears hot shoes, no two ways about it. She’s a physiology professor who writes on her experience, offers advice and most importantly writes about her hot shoes.
Dr. Shock - A psychiatry professor with specialty in electroconvulsive therapy. His blog posts are usually drawn from the most interesting developments in medicine and academics.
Comrade PhysioProf - A physiology professor who’s tellin’ it like it is. No joke. This is some of the funniest, in your face, honest content that you’ll read on a daily basis.
JuniorProf - A junior faculty member writing about his experiences as he makes his way up the academic food chain. Road bumps and all. He’s a movie fan too. Although I wonder if he would agree with me that the movies “Gung-Ho” and “Captain Ron” are two of the most genius and underrated movies of all time.
Acadamnit - A recently tenured professor (congrats!) who is getting all it ALL of her chest. Hilarious stuff. Watch out!
A Blog Around the Clock - Written by a basic scientist studying circadian rhythms who is also Online Discussion Expert for PLoS. Contains a lot of interesting developments arising from the basic science world and elsewhere.
ScienceRoll - Written by a Hungarian medical student with an interest in the intersection of technology and medicine. He describes a lot of interesting new breakthroughs and their application to medicine.
and now…
Disgruntled Julie - A graduate student studying cancer biology writing about her experiences. She’s not only disgruntled, but she’s also incredibly tidy–I’ve heard that her lab bench is immaculate! She loves all things Pittsburgh, for which we can forgive her, and she also posts a lot of tasty recipes as well.

I’m glad my love of “all things Pittsburgh” (but not the Pirates… my grandfather played for the Yankees,so I have no choice in my baseball loyalties) can be forgiven.
