the simple things

I am beat.  I took my psychiatry shelf exam (for those who aren’t familiar with medical school lingo, a shelf exam is a standardized exam applied nationwide at the end of particular, mandatory medical school rotations) today and I-AM-BEAT.  However, a certain someone is out of town tonight which means that I have the rare opportunity to eat take-out chinese food, beef jerky and chocolate cupcakes with oreo frosting in any quantity while watching season 5 of the Sopranos, without any chiding (that’s key).  The guys out there know what I’m talking about.

Whatever.  I’ll eat what I want and it doesn’t matter who knows!  But maybe this one time, you can keep this on the D.L. for your buddy the mudphudder.

Hmm… my husband basically gets to live like that all the time, and I keep my mouth shut. In fact, as I look over right now, he’s got his hand in a bag of Tostitos, and a bowl of my homemade buffalo chicken dip on one side and a jar of nacho cheese dip on the other side (both left over from the Superbowl), and keeps going back and forth between the two, and with the other hand, he’s trying to one-handedly play Playstation.

The whole scene kind of grosses me out, but I didn’t know it was my place to say anything about it and ruin his happiness… apparently, I really need to work on my wife-nagging skills.

First of all, with regards to your husband, my reaction is: THAT-IS-AWESOME!

Finally, I suspect that all wives think that they need to work on their nagging skills when in fact they are probably all excellent at nagging.
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, mercy. That deserves another laugh…
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
