Exciting! You remind me of my husband - he used to keep a countdown of the number of call nights left to go on the whiteboard on our kitchen. He started doing it again with the number of weeks left of his intern year, but sometime in mid-January it was like it suddenly JUST dawned on him for the first time that the end of intern year and start of residency also correlates with him moving away and he decided he no longer wanted to be actively counting down in anticipation of that. Somehow last year at Match Day, the whole piece of paper with residency in Philadelphia but wife in D.C. never really lined up in his head. Almost done with med school call! Exciting!
