speaking too soon
Just when I thought I had made it home safe, I go and get stranded in Las Vegas. I flew from Seattle today to Las Vegas where it was surprisingly snowing. I got on board my connecting flight home, taxied out to the runway only to get called back to the gate because of the first major snow storm to hit Las Vegas in 15 years. So I am still in Las Vegas. All checked luggage was returned at the baggage carousels in what can only be described as complete pandemonium:
Imagine hundreds of people trying to sift through hundreds of suitcases, etc. It took 5 hours, but I got mine and headed to a hotel for the night.
I have another important residency interview on Friday in Philadelphia so my flight plans have been changed to take me directly there tomorrow. I hope I make it. I guess I won’t make any bold statements this time about being done with anything.
