I'm looking forward to my thesis committee meeting in a couple of weeks. I have a nice group of committee members, all intelligent, probing, critical (in a good way), and most importantly, supportive. They'll not only help evaluate where you are, but also push you into better, probably safer, directions if they feel you straying off to the deep end. That is why some programs require committee meetings every year, even every 6 months. I totally agree. I’m looking forward to my thesis committee meeting in a couple of weeks.
