deadlines deadlines

Deadline to resubmit a revised manuscript this week. Since I have finished my PhD, this is the first time that I have submitted an article as a corresponding author. It’s a satisfying feeling but also associated with a little extra stress. Not really a big deal but throw that into the mix of fourth year medical school and residency interviews–not so easy anymore!!! Should make my deadline but I’ve had to push the deadline back twice already. Try to find a euphemistic way of telling the editor “Uhhh, I need an extension because I have a shelf exam coming up…” !!!
